  Cerkev Svetega Antona Padovanskega / Sacramento de Caduti di Caporetto The military memorial Caporetto or Saint Anthony's sanctuary is an Italian military memorial located in Kobarid, Slovenia; It houses the remains of Italian 7014 killed during the First World War. Built by the Italian state, which belonged to that region, the sanctuary was completed in September 1938 and was opened by the head of the government of time, Benito Mussolini. It was built on the hill Gradic designed by the sculptor Giannino Castiglioni and the architect Giovanni Greppi north of the city of Kobarid, taking the remains of Italian soldiers by the military cemeteries in the area, including those of Bovec.   The Kobarid Museum The Kobarid Museum developed from a museum collection which was set up by the locals with professional assistance of Goriški muzej in 1990. It first operated within the frame of the Tourist Society of Kobarid. Five years later, in agreement with the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia, the founders transferred the management to a non-profit company of limited liability which still manages the Museum. In the year 2011, the Kobarid Museum was put in the official register of Slovenian museums. It was awarded for its activities the highest Slovenian award in the museum sphere – the Valvasor Prize.   Kolovrat Kolovrat is about 3.5 km long mountain ridge with the elevations of about ~ 1100 m and is spanning in direction east-west above the right bank of Soča River. On the ridge of Kolovrat, east from the Livške Ravne settlement is a borderline between Italy and Slovenia. From the ridge are panoramic vistas to Julian Alps on the north and Veneto area all the way to the Adriatic Sea. In a time of the First World War the Italian Army built a network of fortified trenches, caverns, and artillery positions named »linea d' armata«.
